                    Sriram Engineering College, constituent of Sriram Educational Trust established in the year 1983, from its inception,is making great strides in achieving excellence in technical education.During the 21 years of its remarkable service in technical education,the college has produced more than 7 university Gold Medalists and more than 20 University Rank Holders.It is fit to be embossed in golden letters that the first batch students of mechanical engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering branches of this college secured the University Gold Medals and took the college to pinnacle of glory.Keeping up with this well-established tradition,the college is obtaining excellent results and producing Rank Holders in the University Examinations consistently.

            The Institution never fails to make a social impact through  unmatched service to the society in every opportunity. In this regard, our students are encouraged to participate in social activities through  Government-approved schemes such as NSS, YRC, NCC and Rotary club.

            The present board of trustees led by Dr.V.VASANTHI DEVI, who was the former vice-Chancellor of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University,have initiated a slew of activities for the holistic development of students

            Our college headed by Dr.G.NALANKILLI, Principal and the team comprising of Deans and HODs have raised funds over Rs.30 lakhs towards numerous R&D activities from  government funding agencies such as AICTE, CSIR, BRNS, TNSCST, etc.



                                       


                   The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 1993 with an intake of 60. The present intake of department is 90. The department was accredited in the year 2006 by the National board of Accreditation, New Delhi.

            The well qualified and highly experienced faculties, not only focus on importing excellent academic domain knowledge and skills but also apply the knowledge to solve the real world problem.

            The faculty of our department, especially our Head of the Department "V.SALAI SELVAM" and his senior associates, constantly encourage the students to participate in and organize the curricular,co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to enhance the creativity in them by providing opportunities to bring out the innovative ideas.

             The department has several well-established laboratories highly equipped with the state-of-the-art, sophisticated equipment and software providing practical knowledge in the latest technologies such as Digital Signal Processing, VLSI, Microwave and Optical communication Engineering and networking.

The department inaugurates the departmental association, namely the Association of Electronics and Communication engineering every academic year to initiate various curricular  and co-curricular activities for the students.



                                                                                                             Attune '14


The name 'ATTUNE' was coined from the phrase “ATtitude TUN(E)ing.”   

This means that the event is to “Tune the attitude of young minds towards creativity and innovation".          
                                           
The first chapter of this series, ATTUNE'02, was launched in the year 2002 attracting over 250 participants and over 500 spectators from all over the country. The hosting of next two chapters, ATTUNE'04 in the year 2004 and ATTUNE'05 in the year 2005. we received support from esteemed corporate sectors, especially BSNL, ASHOK LEYLAND, TVS ELECTRONICS, JAK COMMUNICATIONS, ACER and HP.These two events attracted over thousand participants and over 2000 spectators from all over the country.

Beginning from the chapter ATTUNE'04 two big technical events, namely technical Paper Presentation and Project Display, were introduced giving an opportunity to the young minds all over the country to materialize their creative and innovative ideas.                                    

Our last year’s Symposium ATTUNE'10 conducted for one day and ATTUNE’12 conducted for two days was also a great success and ignited the young minds

Not to be left behind, we have planned to make this chapter of ATTUNE'14 bigger and better than ever before.  The plethora is spread for one day, on 12th September 2014.
